Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
